What is BearsFeat?
BearsFeat, Inc. is a mechanical design consultancy that I have been running since 2001. I started even before that, in 1992, as a contractor working through temp agencies. Working on short projects for various companies in various industries gave me a great foundation to build my skill set upon. I regularly draw on my diverse experience to provide my clients with viable choices to achieve their goal.
I have been heavily engaged in the medical device development realm for about 12 years but have also worked in power generation, consumer electronics, household goods, industrial infrastructure, high temperature heat exchangers, tooling for manufacturing, athletic footwear, and many others. I used Pro/E and Creo for about 14 years and in 2011 started using Solidworks. I also have a license of Simulation and use that to gain confidence in my designs whenever that is called for. I have a small shop with basic equipment and an Ultimaker 3 for rapid prototyping.
